Presidential Immunity

AS you lament the recent SCOTUS immunity decision, here is a very thoughtful article.

I also suggest you read Alexander Hamilton’s Federalist Paper No. 70.  During the Constitutional Convention in Philadelphia, Hamilton wrote a series of essays about discussions amongst the signers as they deliberated the concepts that ended up in the U.S. Constitution.  These essays were published in 1788 to inform Hamilton’s constituents in New York about the goings-on in Philadelphia.  Paper No. 70 discusses executive power.   https://billofrightsinstitute.org/primary-sources/federalist-no-70

The recent SCOTUS decision applies to ALL U.S. Presidents during their time in office.  It is a complex subject, which I fear the majority of Americans are not able to digest or comprehend.

I hope you take the time to read this material.  I continue to believe that the U.S. Constitution and Bill of Rights is likely the most eloquent set of rules ever devised for a centralized federal governing body.

The Mama.
